COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Rocket is lively and up front, with a malt-inspired body and a crisp finish. Its character comes from a blend of Perle, Willamette and Cascade hops. Dry hopped with Cascade for a refreshing aroma.

Seriously intense hop aroma: grassy, piney, fresh herbs, a little cannabis. Dark copper color with small head, quickly dissipating, with decent lace. Clean light malt is prominent in the flavor, hop flavors are subdued, finishing lightly bitter and dry with a note of honey. Very light carbonation and surprisingly light body, giving it a little too watery a mouthfeel.

12 oz. bottle. Bottled 01/2014. Pours a medium, ivory, well retained hed, with extensive lacing, over a slightly hazy, dark amber (SRM 15) body....nose is light pine, resin, citrus peel from the hops, light toasted malts with toast, biscuit tones, very light hints of toffee/caramel, minimal esters from the yeast....taste is light toffee/caramel sweetness with cereal tones. leading to a lightly floral, pine, resin, citrus peel moderate bitterness, minimal esters.....mouth feel, body is light of medium, clean light acid finish, low carbonation, with a clean smooth finish. This is a nicely balanced example of the style. It is a bit light on malt and hop complexity and could use more in both backbones. Would suggest adding more Cascade for the dry hopping, and a bit of crystal/caramel malt to up malt complexity and body. BJCP 7/3/15/4/6.

This is a well hopped pale ale. Light red/copper color. Smells fresh and hoppy. Strong hop flavor - grapefruit and pine - even has hints of wood in the mostly dry finish. I enjoyed this one.

12oz bottle. Clear and golden amber. White head. Sweet citrus and apples in the initial sniff. Slight caramel, "baked bread" aromatic undertone. Sweet and smooth flavor. Sweet hops round out the profile along with light malt roast. A touch light, but sweet and pleasing!

Pours a very light amber color. Smell is smooth and fruity and of mild hops. Taste is dusty, biscuity malt and hops are light and fruity. Some light yeast flavor is present too. Mild bitterness and a smooth, drinkable beer. Not bad.

Clouded amber hue, decent head formation. Baked bread, yeasty malty aroma. Sweet malty, bready with dark fruit flavor. Mild bitterness in the finish but subdued by the heavy malt content. Fairly unique take on a much cloned style.

Draft at brewery. Small, off-white head atop a medium amber body. The aroma has notes of cookie, grapefruit and resin. Some pine in the background. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish turns moderately bitter. Medium body with a watery texture. Ample carbonation. OK. And just OK, yet easy to drink. Why not go for one of Bristol’s IPA’s instead of this?

On tap at the brewery: Poured clear orange/yellow with a medium sized head. Nice aroma of piney hops and citrus. Taste is more piney/citrusy hops, well carbonated. Somewhat of a short finish. Solid beer. I enjoyed it.

Had this beer on 2/24/1999. Color is a nice nut brown with low carbonation and very little head. Aroma has light malt tones and good hop scents in it. Taste good but a bit flat. It starts with a medium body that seems a bit heavier than it is because of the carbonation being low. Goes down smooth with the hop flavor coming out right away. The finish is a light malt flavor with strong hop flavorings and a mild hop bitterness.
