| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2004 Pours a dark brown with a reddish hue. Tan, bubbly head that disappeared pretty quick. Kinda looks like a porter. Sweet, rich nose with hints of coffee and bakers chocolate. Pretty straight forward as far as flavors. Lots of sweet malt and chocolate. Very smooth. A touch of molasses right before the hops kick in for a dry finish. Quite a long, lingering smoke flavor for a finish, too, along with a light hop kick. Pretty nice. A big bad thanks to BBB63 for generously bringing me this tasty treat when he came itno the Cleveland area on Memorial Day, 2004! BierBauch (642), Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2004 12oz Bottle Pours black of course with very little head as expected. Aroma is of roasted malt, licorice and some sweet dark chocolate as well. Body is smooth with more carbonation than expected. The flavor is somewhat complex. Slightly bitter with notes of licorice, chocolate, coffee and a bit milky. Overall not bad for the style. Thanks to Snowtiger for the sample. CaptainCougar (5420), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 26, 2004 Pours a nice darkness with a thick, well-lacing light tan head. Semi-sweet and dry roasted malt aroma. Body starts with a nice thickness and plenty of caramel malt flavor and a more roasty lactic finish. Nicely balanced and a good fullness of flavor. A very nice sweet stout. Thanks snowtiger! fuyajo (225), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 22, 2004 Carmel aroma. Rich, dark-brown color - almost syrupy looking. Small head. Hints of carmel and sweetness for taste; a very drinkable Stout. Smooth finish with a slighly bitter aftertaste - a tinge of coffee, perhaps. This could be one of my new favorite Stouts. I will buy this one again. jdog76 (85), madison, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2004 Poured with little head, brownish. Looks like Pepsi in the glass, dark brown and effervescent. Malty, slightly fruity aroma. Palate is a bit too bubbly for me, and thinnish. Sorta sweet finish, with a slight astringency from the roasted/ black malts. ot as smooth as I like in an O.S. aracauna (2374), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2004 Darker brown, but not quite black. The head is light tan, creamy but not too large. The aroma is smokey chocolate, with some mild fruitiness and a bit of hops reaching through the malt. The flavor is a bit soda like, but I can't say why, interesting, but a bit thin.
