Bottle from Kevin, IIRC. Nearly opaque body with red edges. A nice lasting thin foamy head with decent lacing. Nose-kind of barleywine like hops, good sweet malt. Very appealing nose. Taste-raisin, light wood, medium CO2, dry coffee, good dose of tasty hops, light fig, light lactic acid, mildly sticky, kind of thin, but still very solid.

12oz bottle, served in a tulip. Nearly black with red tints. Roast & cream aroma and to a lesser extent, dark fruits and pine? Taste is milk chocolate, roast, and mocha. Sweet flavor, but the finish is nicely dry from the alcohol, roast, and hops. A sweet stout to be sure.

Bottle: The aroma consists of dark chocolate, faint cocoa powder, oatmeal, licorice, hints of smoke, and light roasted malts. It pours a dark brown with some orange hilights with a small beige head. The flavor starts with dark chocolate, light black licorice, and faint oatmeal. The finish is lightly roasty.

In the bottle. Thanks to Nick S. for the beer. Pours brownish black in color with a tan, slightly sepia-colored small head. Beer has an astringent finish on the sides of the tongue. Not a stout tart bitterness either. The mouth is good- thick palate, but not a dominant flavor to be found. This is surprisingly mild for a Bristol Brewing product. Mid way through the beer, I get a cane sugar sweetness. Why? I don’t know.

Very watery pour. Very little head on a dark brown body. Trace tan lacing. Roasted chocolate malt nose, with hints of coffee. Very dry and bitter ending, like a good coffee and a dark chocolate kiss. Thanks, enjoyed.
