Pours black with a creamy chocolate brown head. Sweet aroma initially with malt and caramel followed by some hints of coffee. Flavor is sweet upfront but finishes with a little hop bite. I get toasted malt for that smokey flavor, some vanilla and caramel along with sweet malt and some bitter hops and coffee at the end. It’s good stuff.

Bottle. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma with oatmeal notes. Pours dark brown with a thin light brown head and very little lacing. Roasted malt with some chocolate to start. Finished smooth with oatmeal notes with the chocolate sweetness lingering on the palate. Good stout.

A great stout for cold winter days. Can’t really smell or taste the oatmeal, but a satisfying drink nevertheless.

12 oz. bottle. Appearance: slight brown head, black color, average lacing. Aroma: roast, nuts, coffee, bread, chocolate, cereal. Palate: full body, oily texture, average carbonation, long bitter finish. Taste: Sweet first half, hoppy dark chocolate taste at the finish. Overall, very good beer and very well balanced. Love this beer.

Holiday stout under nitro! Strong malt and chocolate flavor with enough strength and bitterness to emphasize the style! Offered as a holiday ale, but could be good year round!

Very dark brown in color, this winter ale has a nose of an oatmeal stout, with cold and dark roasted malts. It has a nice, roasted, dull palate that’s a little dry. The flavor is mostly of roasted malts softened slightly by oats. This beer appears to get very good reviews from others, but I’m not so sure what’s so spectacular about this. I’m not really impressed at all.

Bottle. Pours near black with a light beige head. Sweet and lightly roasted malts, some light notes of almost rotten fruits, and a hint of chocolate. Not bad.
