Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 22, 2007 Bottled. A deep red beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is very complex with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, bourbon, and wood. The flavor is very, very malty combined with notes of caramel, bourbon, prunes, over ripe fruits, and alcohol, that burns in the throat. Papsoe (10526), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2007 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Bierkönig. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a tiny, off-white head. Intense aroma of overripe fruit and wood. Extremely full-bodied with a shipload of roasted malt, dried and overripe fruit. Woody, almost cognac style notes with an overwhelming alcohol finish. But really more like a Barley Wine or an Old Ale than an IS. Truly excellent - I’m surprised by the mediocre ratings. 171107 yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 21, 2007 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown and witha reddish hue and a completely gone, fizzy brown head. Aroma is heavy chocolate, slight eye burning alcohol. Flavour has a lovely chocolate flavour to a solid oaked alcohol flavour, slight spiced. Ends quite warming. Nice to fantastic. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Triple Warlock
