[Cask at the Royal Standard of England, nr Beaconsfield] First brew from the new microbrewery out the back of the historic pub. It pours pale amber with a negligible off-white head. Good, full, smooth mouthfeel - pleasant to drink. But the flavours are rather muted - a bit of straw, a bit of farmyard, some sweet vanilla, but really on the bland side. Nevertheless, it’s pleasing to have a true house beer at this famous hostelry, and I wish them every success wiith this new venture.
