Bottle 33cl, a golden beer with medium head. Nose is sweet and caramel like. Aroma is very bitter and peppery, spicy hops, dry caramel body with carared malt, leather and metallic notes. Finish is very bitter with light burnt caramel notes.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate yeasty, nutty - leather, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100111]

Clear amber with a tiny off white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and mild hops. Sweet flavour with spicy hops and caramel. Finished dry and bitter.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy deep blond color. Mild aroma, some malt, cereals and bread. Sweetish flavor, poor malt, there is a hazelnut touch, but not enough for hiding the vegetables character. The final is a bit too alcoholic. Not good.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and phenolic. Caramelish, phenolic and roasted. Light bitter and light phenolic finish.

Bottled. Cloudy pale amber, creamy head. Very fruity with notes of orange and some plastic. Medium bodied wit soft mouthfeel. Lowbitterness. Some amateuristic charm.

Nice dark golden color with lots of action happening in the glass. The aroma was sweet with a mild hint of hops and although the flavor was a bit thin, but still quite refreshing. The finish was surprisingly smooth such a strong beer. This was a excellent French beer and, if you only associate 1664 or Kronenburg as true French beer, then I would highly recommend sampling . This brew is dominated by it’s sweet flavour. It has a sourish aroma and heavy notes of caramel and sugar. Quite alcoholic.
