Bottle conditioned.
Translation: The BRITT blonde beer (Melen in Breton) is non pasteurised. It’s brewed with barley malt and aroma hops. The buckwheat gives it a characteristic smoothness. Formerly 5%

Note: Do not confuse with the Britt Blonde Pils/Pur Malt at 4.5%.

Medium gold with a slight orange tint. Nice, fine head. Cloudy. Fresh, fruity aroma of yeast and malt mainly. Much like a Belgian blonde. Lots of yeast. A fruity blond beer with darn good hopping. Flavor is a touch sweet, fruity with a bit of citrus, and some spice. Finish of malt and hops, lasting fairly long. Not very original, but a well-balanced, well-hopped blonde ale. I like it a lot.

Bottle. Malt, fruit and hops in aroma. Unclear yellow colour with white head. Surprisingly much malt and bread in flavour with only discrete hops bitterness. A hint of citrus.

Bottle from Björn, thanks. Semi lasting off white head. Thinn yellow color. Fine belgian aroma with a complex belgian taste. Nice beer that you want more of.

Rastacouere (6128) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 31, 2004
Bottle-conditioned Hazy golden hue with a superb white head, huge and rocky. Apparently very high carbonation. Aroma is more expressive than I anticipated, there’s a gentle spicy (oregano, sage) and lightly floral hoppiness that accompanies the grainy malt aspect. Lemony, toasty, herbal, it could be a pilsner mixed with a spicy bière de garde. Palate is lightly crisp with high carbonation, very herbal/grassy with a pilsner-like dry bitterness in the finish. Moderate traces of buttery diacetyl. It’s not too good, but surpasses expectations.

Lubiere (9999) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 20, 2005
Hazy blonde with a thick collapsing white head. Sweet light malt with a light orangey note. In mouth, good bready malt with a touch of pleasant cirus acidity and fruitiness and nice crisp hops in finish. Medium bodied. Bought in May 2004. Man, I’m surprised its still good!

Hazy orange color, decent creamy white head. Nose is kind of papery, oat-like. Flavor has light sweet edge in the beginning. beer is grassy and bitterish. Interesting French beer, not really typical biere de garde, more like a Belgian blonde.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 20, 2008
Dark yellow colored, strongly cloudy appearance. Strongly lemony and yeasty aroma with some orange and witbier styled spices, rich aroma indeed. Medium bodied. Flavor is also rich with more hops than in aroma, still this orange and lemon come up finely hee. Fruits with convenient yeasty-spiciness can be found also. Aftertaste turns to bitter with hops, some blood-orange notes last long.

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy lemon colour with some head and very gentle bubble. The nose has lemon sorbet and yoghurt. The taste has more lemon with a background malt note, then yeast with some hops at the end. The palate has medium structure, a creamy texture and a fairly clean finish. Overall, a like this style a lot and it’s a fairly good example.

330ml bottle at 5%ABV pours a pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves a thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains and grassy hops. Taste is grainy with a grassy hop bitterness. Flavors are more complex than I can describe and this is a much better brew than I expected. Well done.

Appearance with golden color, cloudy liquid and medium head. Medium aroma with citric and yeast. On the palate, bitterness and spiciness. A good draft blonde.
