2nd Nov 2010: Brown 33cl bottle, poured into a ’Hoegaarden Grand Cru’ stemmed tulip. This beer was formally 5%ABV, mine was 6%ABV. A slight haze in the body gives it a dark golden hue, on top a white bubbley head. Citrus fruits dominate the nose, really sour aroma, more than a hoppy citrus smell, this is lemon, lime and grapefruit all blended together. The taste is also citrusy, leaning towards a vinegarous feel. It was at this point I noticed it’s best before date was 27 Aug 2010, which means it was reviewed over two months after that. Hope the beer wasn’t on the turn as I wrote the review. Also ’miffed’ I paid full price for it (yesterday). Different and an OK beer, France has some good stuff, I’ll carry on trying to find the best ones and review them on here!

CanCrusher (311) - Ilirska Bistrica, SLOVENIA - NOV 15, 2012
Bottle. Dark yellow, slightly hazy colour, with medium big white head, that sits down slowly. Heavy malty aroma - white bread, cookie, honey and also some brown sugar and caramel notes. Taste is a bit harder to definite, kinda sweety/acidic turns to acidic/bitter aftertaste.
