COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh and feisty, our twist on an American Amber Ale is aromatic and uplifting. Five malts mingle for a rich, complex flavor. Named after the Effra river, which now flows beneath urban Brixton, this ale is perfect for deep thirsts.

Bottle, thanks to Craig. Clear amber beer with a nice offwhite head. Malty aroma, fruity, grass notes, herbal, some bread. Hoppy earthy flavor, grassy, leather notes, some dark bread. A bit unclean.

Bottled, 330ml from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Reddish amber with white head. There is a caramel sweetness at the start of this, malty, a touch thin perhaps. When the hops kick in there is a pine, spruce like note, slightly resinous and finally a sweetish pineapple note. It’s fine.

Transferring some earlier reviews from my blog to RB. Mai 2014, (City Beverage, £ 2,60), 33 cl. Vasekarva ja hägune, vahumüts muljetavaldav, helebee˛ikas ja püsiv. Lõhn on väga mõnus, tugevalt linnasene, heinane, küps ja vürtsikas, kergelt greibise mõrksusega. Kehalt kergemapoolne, peaaegu ütleks isegi hõre, pehme, leebe mulliga. Männivaigune, heinatolmune, väikese greibivett meenutava mõrksusega... Pole just meeldejääv kraam, kuigi päris hea siiski. Siuke tsill ja pretensioonitu jook, mida oleks hea pärast füüsilist tööd värskes õhus kaduvas päevas juua.

Idiosynkrasie (4661) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 17, 2014
330ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Resinous, piney and herbal hoppy aroma. Taste is dry hoppy, astringent, woody, resinous, piney, close to, but not really nutty, the same is true concerning fruitiness; slightly papery and chalky finish. Natural, crafty, somehow "bio" and/or "öko", but not really tasty.

Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and slightly soft. Mild fine carbonation. Light caramel malts, little dry cream. Dried fruits and mild twangy bitterness. Little ripe orange in the dry finish. Not bad, bit flabby.

Cask at the White Horse, Parson’s Green on 5 April 2014. Poured a cloudy orange, with a rocky white head and some lacing. Malty aroma, some sweet orange and yeast. Initial flavours of orange, cooked fruit and grain. Finish was straw, light citrus and grass.
