COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh and feisty, our twist on an American Amber Ale is aromatic and uplifting. Five malts mingle for a rich, complex flavor. Named after the Effra river, which now flows beneath urban Brixton, this ale is perfect for deep thirsts.

330ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Resinous, piney and herbal hoppy aroma. Taste is dry hoppy, astringent, woody, resinous, piney, close to, but not really nutty, the same is true concerning fruitiness; slightly papery and chalky finish. Natural, crafty, somehow "bio" and/or "Ųko", but not really tasty.

Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and slightly soft. Mild fine carbonation. Light caramel malts, little dry cream. Dried fruits and mild twangy bitterness. Little ripe orange in the dry finish. Not bad, bit flabby.

Cask at the White Horse, Parsonís Green on 5 April 2014. Poured a cloudy orange, with a rocky white head and some lacing. Malty aroma, some sweet orange and yeast. Initial flavours of orange, cooked fruit and grain. Finish was straw, light citrus and grass.

Bottled Garibaldi Northampton 25/03/14. A reddy brown coloured beer with a whitish head. An amber ale with good hops and typical fruity seeet malts. Some chocolate on the nose. Malts arenít too sweet and chewy and itís quite tolerably an amber ale. A little thin to be honest.

Bottle, from Sourced, split with Yespr on the train to Hostelboro, 28/02/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate light beige head. Nose is mandarin, bitter grapefruit, caramel, earthy hop notes. Taste comprises dankish hops, red grapefruit, pithy citrics, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a little hop bitterness. So so, a little clumsy in the make up.

Nice, sweet red fruit vibe, burnt sugar, lovely amber colour, toffee malt, pronounced carbonation, low percentage, maybe fades a little quickly but pretty decent.
