Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 24, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Poured clear dark amber color an average fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate sweet roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Moderate roasted sweet flavor and medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Soft drinkable beer. The_Enemy (383), Chicago, USA Dec 28, 2006 On tap. Pours a clear light copper with good frothy head and lots of lacing on the sides of the glass. Good dose of caramel on the nose with a hint of mild hops. Flavor much the same though the hops take on a higher profile than in the aroma but without overwhelming the sweetish caramel-malt base. Some dry grain shows up later in the glass. Medium palate as suits the style. Not an overwhelming beer precisely because it’s done to style. A quite well-crafted mild and a good session brew. jahughey (65), Franklin, Indiana, USA Sep 12, 2005 Beautiful mild. Great session beer - light in alcohol, malty, bready, medium body despite low alcohol. Clean, rich maltiness with characteristic fruitiness. This brewpub is incredible and very rare - English ale from an English owner. atpayne (615), Zionsville, Indiana, USA Jan 23, 2005 From a growler filled two hours earlier, by John Hill, owner of the Broad Ripple Brew Pub. Redish amber with gold and orange, slightly cloudy. First aroma is somewhat toasted with a peach smell. John said that their yeast often smells of peaches as they collect it from the fermenter. Roasted malts in the flavor. Only a little bitter in the after taste. There is a peach fruityness in the light finish. Lubiere (3146), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Dec 14, 2004 Red copper ale with a strong butterscotch aroma, and grassy. Intense butterscotch with nice nutty notes, with a light hops finish. Oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied.
