COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden crisp refreshing wheat beer. Effervesent, light and crisp, our American-style wheat beer is served unfiltered, adding depth to the palate and causing it to be slightly cloudy.
Formerly White River Wheat.

Draft sampler at Broad Ripple. Hazy yellow with a thin head. Has a bit hefe than an American wheat ought to have. A touch of banana and clove, but just a touch. Still, a very suitable summer beer, served without a lemon, thank you.

Had this on tap at the brewpub but was in town for a wedding with a lot of family and didn’t take good tasting notes beyond the numbers.

Objectively speaking: A basic weizen with little yeast character and almost no head.
I like: Pleasant lemon zest notes make it a fine lemonade.
I dislike: Headless weizen? Also quite clear and almost shiny for an unfiltered ale. Overly tart to me. The coriander flavours clash a bit with the acidity. Very thin.

On tap @ the Brew pub: Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Aroma, wheat, some fruits, and some spices. Flavor, light lemony notes, some wheat, spices, and doughy notes. Solid brew.

Draft at brewpub. Cloudy orange color with an average rocky white head that diminished slowly. Moderate complex banana citrus wheat aroma. Light to medium body. Medium sweet flavor with a sweet spicy finish of moderate duration.

Sampler draft at Broad Ripple. Hazy golden with a medium head that diminished quickly. Medium malt and wheat aroma. Medium body with smooth wheat texture. Well balanced flavor of citrus, wheat and malt with a medium sweet finish.

Depends on what you like in wheat beer. This is the deliberately unoffensive American style (ie., no phenolic aromas, flavors ), but it is fresh, I guess. Even a true hefeweizen reminiscent of Schneider or Hacker would be out of place in an incredible British brewpub such as this, but it would be really GOOD beer nonetheless.

From a growler filled two hours earlier, by John Hill, owner of the Broad Ripple Brew Pub. Cloudy yellow with a small head. Sour malt aroma as well as some sweetness in the nose. The flavor is of yeast, wheat, light malts and citrus flavors. Average finish.

(sample @ brewery) a hazy yellow/white beer with a decent head and little lace. no german banana/clove in the nose-all toasty wheatiness. flavor is very light and crisp, with a mild bubblegum note in the finish (a little yeast charecter?). easy to drink, though not particularly exciting.

Draft sample. This beer formed a small sized white head with fine-small sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was hazy and uncarbonated with a yellow hue. The nose was light malt, light hops and some fruit esters. The flavor was flat, bland, boring and lacks character. The mouthfeel was smooth with a watery and thin texture. This was a light bodied beer with excellent lacing.

From a sampler: This beer pours a hazy dark yellow color with a medium thick and foamy white head. The aroma is somewhat wheaty with a touch of hops. No real lacing to speak of. Kind of thin body, with a smooth and mild character. It's really not all that wheaty and the finish was on the bland side. Not one of their better attempts.
