Sampled at the 2014 Winterbrewed Craft Beer Festival on Valentines’ Day. Poured a dark brown colour with a beige head and thick patchy lacing. Mostly chocolate aromas with soft vanilla over the roasted malt and hints of coffee. Medium-bodied with some stickiness. Taste of coffee and roasted malts with a little sourness. An easy drinking stout.

Tap at 3030. Pitch black pour with a thick brown head. The aroma has a lot of cocoa and dark coffee with a nice roasty component. Solid malt profile through the middle. Sweetish through the middle bit with a dry roasty finish. Pretty solid.

clear dark brown pour with a small if not absent cap, no lacing. chocolate roasty notes, coffee, lactose, ashes, red fruity notes, chalk, woodsiness, bit of resin, bit of booze. low carbonation, light to medium body - oily, bittering coffee and slightly resinous finish. by the book stout if not for the lack of looks. yeah i’m like that.

Pretty much black pour with a bubbyly tan head. Wow that smells dark. Chocolate and smoke in my nose. The mouth matches. Wow. This is fantastic but rich. I would love a bottle of this at home for a cold night. I can’t see drinking a bunch of this but a glass after a big meal or maybe beside a steak would be awesome.
