clear dark amber reddish with a small light beige head, some retention and lacing. caramel, perfumey fruity malts, although quite fainted, peppery, earthy, grassy, kind of a nutty feeling i guess with few mineral-metal notes. moderate carbonation - a bit fizzy, light body - watery, grassy-peppery finish. meh.

Pours fairly red for a brown ale. This one misses the mark a little. Ok head and lacing. Faint hint of roast malt here but aroma and palate are very light here. Finishes with very light bitterness. Tap at Black Tomato.

On tap at Corner Bar, Westboro. Nutty and dried fruit aroma with some faint oxidation. Clear chestnut under a thin off white cover. Dry nut flavour with dried fruit and a medium bitterness. Medium light body, moderate carbonation, faint lingering bitterness.

A dark brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, smooth nutty malt with light herbal notes, OK. In mouth, a herbaceous nutty malt with faint hops, a bit pedestrian. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Jan 2 2013.

Cask at Cat. Deep brown, no head. Nice roasty malts, a little root beer character. Medium body, nearly flat (cask). Light roasted malts, a touch fruity, light cola or root beer herbals, leafy hops; dry with fair bitterness and a pleasant roast finish.

On cask at Arrow and Loon but labelled as "Easy on the Nuts Brown". Dark brown with a creamy biege head. Little nutty, roasted and semi-sweet malts, some caramel. Mild carbonation, light body, becomes dry and more sweet on the finish.
