cgarvieuk (2160), Edinburgh, Scotland Apr 11, 2007 amber coloured mead, with a light honey nose and a rich honeyness thats just a bit bitter. Better than lots but undrinakable compaired with the best.
This was one i really liked, but on drinking it one day after a bottle gales, i really couldnt touch it. rauchbier (2860), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Jan 25, 2007 Bottle, at GBBF 2005. Amber, no head and flat. Big sweet honey nose, low alcohol notes in the mouth with more sweetness from the honey, lingering sweet sticky finish. Fairly one dimensional.

Another extreme mead I love. Amber brown appearance. Prunes and apples are dominating the notes in the nose. Hints of honey and malt. chris_o (4393), London, Greater London, England Dec 12, 2005 Bottle at GBBF, August 2005. This is really extreme. Smells like honey cough sweets, times ten. tastes like raw honey. Syrupy, cloying and sweet beyond belief. Undrinkable for me. Colour is a fairly deep mid brown.
tiggmtl (4157), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 16, 2005 Alcohol, musty fruit, air freshener like chemical quality to the aroma. Clear copper coloured body is still and viscous. Strong floral honey with plenty of sugary sweetness and very apparent alcohol. Thick and syrupy and strongly warming. Bottle sampled at GBBF 2005.
