Cask Stillage at the Bhurtpore Inn, Aston 10/07/2002 Mid to dark brown porter with caramel flavours. Slightly dry lasting finish.

Cask handpump and the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Black with a slim off-white head. Quite fruity and malty, but needs more body and alcohol.

Hand pulled at the Bartons Arms, Birmingham. Tasty, yet light Porter. Dark black, with a small beige head. Nice restrained flavour, which if critical, is perhaps too restrained. Nonetheless very pleasant, with some balckberry flavours.

Gravity Cask, Catford Beer Festival. Acidic as hell - almost like a lambic. Blackcurrant. Dark as night. Oak qualities and some ripe, damp earth. More interesting than pleasant, though it is pleasant enough.

(Cask condtioned). Sampled at the Wear Valley CAMRA beer festival, where it was served at room temperature with no carbonation. Dark ruby colour, OKish porter with just too little of everything.
