3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jandd1983 (928) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - MAR 21, 2011
Sampler at the brewpub. It had a slightly fruity taste with a good balance. I thought it had a little more of a malty taste than most ESB’s, but was a decent brew.

Tap at the restaurant. Poured an amber orange color with a smaller white head. Aroma was caramel and malts. Malty backbone. Sweeter for an ESB. Still drinkable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 beastiefan2k (1920) - Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Sample @ the brewpub. To style, dry, herbal, low sugars and definite English yeast character. Its like a dry leaf maltiness. Orange/goldencopper color, very hazy, medium clarity. Short dry finish with a bit extra hop kick bitterness lingering around. So, that’s a little different for the style but works well.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 theisti (2441) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - SEP 22, 2010
Shaker pint draft at the brewpub in Columbia, Missouri. Pour is an amber, brown golden with an off white head that lasts a bit. Aroma is very malty, quite sweet and a black cherry fruit sort of way. A bit in the back of the nose is some mineral earthiness. Taste is the sweet fruit malt, transitioning to a dry mineral finish. Palate is medium, a bit on the lower end of carbonation, easy drinking. This was clean, and very straight forward. Well made, a bit on the sweet side for my personal taste, but nice.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 drfabulous (2283) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - DEC 6, 2009
Draught at brewpub. New to lineup. Slightly fruity with decent balance overall for an ESB. Maybe a bit more malty than the traditional, but very drinkable.
