(Rating #3728)

A golden ale with a thin white head. A nice biscuitty malt aroma with smooth floral hops and Belgian spiced notes, esters, quite nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt, butterscotch, light floral hops, medium bodied. On tap at Mondiale de la Bière 2010.

Aroma sweet feel , hint of citric hop , straight aroma.
Appearance pale gold , visible carbonation with medium top.
Flavor and Palate : medium light bodied. It is quiet easy going , pale malts as base with bitter sides.

MartinT (6349) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 27, 2010
My Bottom Line:
This super clean Belgian-style Ale promotes citrusy and spicy hops within biscuity pale malts, leading to a levelled hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the clear golden.
-The mouthfeel is extremely professional; polished, slick and very easy to drink.
-The usual esters expected from the style aren’t too outgoing, yet they are balanced with the rest of the flavor profile’s mild intensity.
-This is not the kind of beer which will stand out much in a well-stocked beer bar, but it served its purpose beautifully as a quaffer to begin the evening.

On tap at Brouhaha.
