Winter warmer 2012.

Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 17, 2009
A blonde golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice malt, with mashed grains notes, smells of mash tuns. In mouth, a light grainy malt with light nutty notes, light czech hops, a bit lighter than expected. Not bad. On tap at Fête Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 4 2009.

Eructoblaster (2122) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 12, 2009
On tap at the pub. Nice golden body with low carbonation and a fair white foamy head. Decent hoppy aroma with malty and bready hints. Taste is well balanced and relatively robust. It ends with a good bitter/herbal finish. Enjoyable.

Rastacouere (5920) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 17, 2008
Clear dark straw coloured. Very light, but sticky enough white head. Clean and very cerealic maltiness. A bit dark for what claimed to be a pilsner at the pub. Certainly not much lager character in there. Strawy, hay-like palate with a fair bit of residual suhars. Lightly astringent graininess. Mild powderiness. Neglectable hop aromas, but clean and soft bitterness.

Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Boring aroma and flavor of hops and malt with lingering sweetness.

(Rating #1280)

My Bottom Line:
A vaguely fruity cereal sweetness makes up most of the flavor profile in this insipid brewpub blond which successfully emulates best-selling macros.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the clear pale golden.
-On the "sports" bar side of this brewpub, this was mistakenly(?) advertised as a Czech Pilsener, which it is most definitely not. On the "dance/lounge" side, it was labelled as an English Golden Ale. On the tastebud side of things, it is a cleanly-brewed flavor vaccum meant to replace macros.
-Nose is nearly absent; this is not meant to be attractive in the aromatic department.
-Hop presence is very timid; some citrusy fruitiness is imagined.
-Carbonation seems to be the only assertive component here.

On tap at the brewpub.

Bu sur place, en échantillon.Blonde typique, mince collet.
