A clear dark amber ale with mahoganny hues and a thin off white head. A pleasant caramel malt, vienna like, with notes of cinnamon and berries. In moutj a classy alt with nice biscuitty malts, a bit of sour fruits, a bit light but overall good beer. On tap at St-Bock, June 21 2009.

My Bottom Line:
Perky herbal hops ride the prickly effervescence, conversing with mildly toasted and caramelized malts in this clean and crisp Altbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy sheet of foam covers the dim copper.
-The herbal and wooden hops offer pleasant bitterness.
-The malts could develop more character and flavor.
-The mouthfeel is light and bubbly, akin to a Pilsener’s.

On tap at the brewpub.

Robe ambrée très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche fugace. Arômes légers de malt. Saveurs légères de malt caramélisé.
