Sample from 50 cl. bottle Pitch black with a small, creamy tanned head. Roasted aroma with caramel malts, coffee, chocolate, liquorice and dark berries. Some vanilla. Taste is bitter. Full body with an oily texture and near flat carbonation. Bitter, roasted finish with liquorice. Excellent despite the age.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 50cl from Henrik thanks (think it’s a 2007 bottle), a dark beer with almost without head. Nose is very vinous, wood with oxydized notes. Body is creamy on dark chocolate fig, caramel notes, a but too oxidized I think but still pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cool flip top bottle from Papsoe! It pours a dark brown with a slowly building and then shrinking brown/orange head. The aroma is kind of all over the place with some salted almonds, coffee, chocolate, soy sauce and some raisin/prune dark fruit. Maybe a hint of oak, but no hops at this point. The flavor has a lot of prune juice, coffee, some sugary residuals, and hints of oak near the finish. The body is oily and somewhat flat. Alcohol heat is not felt until the finish. Not bad, but a little messy. Hard to drink more than a few ounces.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Draught) Pours dark brown to black. The aroma holds port, vanilla-ish oak, medium roasted malt, coffee, brown sugar, candi sugar and some dark berries. Floral, citric and cat pee-like hops. The flavour is almost cloyingly sweet with notes of coffee and “green” hops as well as hints of fruits and berries. The mouthfeel is round and a bit numbing. Medium to full bodied.

No head, very dark. Nose with licorice, coffee, chocholate. Fullbody and fine length. Taste is fat and soft with chocko and coffee. Very pleasant with only a very vague mintyness.
