3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2005
Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, August 2005. To say this beer was lively would be an understatement. It took about 15 minutes to pour. Hazy orange colour. Loads of orange and spices - clove, coriander and maybe a touch of cinnamon. Noticeably yeasty and distinctly sour, but with an underlying sweetness that lends an overall bittersweet feel. Although this does have some Belgian character, I wouldn’t really have had it down as a tripel. Nicely done though. I would never have guessed it has over 10% alcohol.
