2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dedollewaitor (10292) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2006
On tap at Carlsens kvarter(Odense) Clear brown with white head. Malts and caramel (RUG=RYE) The texture is quite thin. The finsish is a bit bitter. Pretty boring! (Try Ølfabrikkens RUG IPA, that is heat!) Basically more of everything!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 madsberg (7529) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2006
Draught @ Portalen, Hundige: Found this where I least would have expected it, and the beer was good imo. Burgundy coloured. Clear. Beige dense head. Aroma and flavour is quite herbal and fruity. Has some light caramel notes. Is medium bodied. Has some nice hoppy and flowery notes, that leads into a light bitter end. Easy to drink. Nice one IMO.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mads Langtved (2246) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2006
Draught at Ørsted Ølbar:
Brown appearance. Brown head. Flavour has some bitterness and malty sweetness. Could easily take more hops.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Christian (8548) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 27, 2006
Dark copper with a lasting off-white head. Malt dominated aroma, with some grass and melon. Malty sweet flavour that lacks some bitterness.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jeppe (2633) - Ølbutikken, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2006
Draught at Lord Nelson, København. Fine off-white head, slightly hazy copper body. Mild Malty and vague hoppy aroma with a sweet candied note. Flavor is dominated by a hoppy grassy note with caramel and anise underneath. Actually the anise is quite evident. Sparkling mouthfeel. Not bad, but could use some more power. I also think the brewer forgot to put the rye in this one......
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (23922) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 23, 2006
A brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and with strong fruity esters of peach and mango as well as light notes of hops. The flavor is very sweet wtih notes of rye and lots of fruit - especially peaches, combined with notes of the yeast and hints of nuts, leading to a slightly hoppy OK bitter end. For my liking it lacks some hops.
