UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 Bottle. A clear, golden beer, sparkling, and with a big, creamy, off-white head leaving lacings. Decent nose, noble hops and caramel malts. Nice, spiced and fruity flavor with caramel maltyness and some bread. Quite dry. Caramel-sweet finish with balancing bitterness. Definitely not a world-class beer, but it’s a tasteful and easy drinking beer I could down a few of. Rating: 3.1. 100716

On tap at John Bull Pub, Aalborg. As John Bull Classic. It pours a clear, dark golden to amber body and a minimal white head. The aroma is grainy with a touch of cooked vegetables. Some hops. The carbonation is a bit hard, medium body. Grains, some caramel, a touch of dms and some bitterness in the flavor. Decent bitterness in the end. Well, a decent lager it is, but nothing more. 110417
