Red mahogany, slightly hazy and the head is creamy and golden. the aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and nuts. The mouthfeel is quite full. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel and it has a nice bitterness and a slightly dry finish. It’s an OK doppel bock with a limited sweetness. 1868

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Light brown fluffy and lasting head. Hazy dark orange body. Pleasant malt aroma with notes of black berries and raspberries. Thick and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor of berries and alcohol, the latter however well hidden by the hops bitterness although this is not too dominant. Too bad the taste dies pretty quickly.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber, reddish ale. Frothy head. Somewhat nutty aroma. Wheat? Malty sweetness. More malty sweetness in the flavour. Raspberries? Alcohol. Not very epic, it seems as if the idea with this beer is to increase the ABV with disregard for the aroma and flavour.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. hazy reddish brown with a large bubbly white foam. nuts, marzipan, raspberries and fudge in the aroma with a disturbing sourish undertone. Warming and sugary flavour with just a hint of toasted malts. Alcoholic finish with notes of fresh grassy hops and fudge. Good try but it’s too much booze in here for me
