COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Brøckhouse Stout is inspired by the Russian Imperial Stouts. It is brewed with generous amounts of pale ale -, munich-, caramel- and chocolate malt, along with roasted barley, crushed oats and dark syrup. The hops added are: Columbus, Galena og Challenger. The combination of malts, hops and alcohol gives a forceful aroma combining wine, bitter chocolate and dark caramel, a pitch dark colour and a dark, full head. Best served at 10 – 12°C.

Bottle... Pitch black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. Cola, chocolate and dark fruit esters in the nose. Hearty flavor with chocolaty sweetness, charcoal bitterness and a pinch of salt. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Roasted, chocolaty finish with another pinch of salt at the wee end. Cheers to henrikb for shipping this bottle across the pond!

Bottle from either fiulijn or Papsoe, whoever it was HUGE thanks! Poured a black body with a small off white head. Coffee, peach, sweet rubber gum, sweet but relatively fresh. The taste kicks out really bitter, crudely so in the beginning, showing some vaguely aromatic herbal hints and grinding into dust a nice sof roasty maltiness. Slightly yoghurty. Overall a pretty good stout but too hopped.

sweet looking bottle via dakine on 6/6/10. the last of the night. bb9/4/10. orange shade of black. smells of green peppers, black peppercorns, roast, sweet grain, molasses, mud and wet wood. the taste is a mix of the aroma... a little salty, muddy, twigs, tar, molasses, smoke and a spicy finish. it is far sweeter than need be... thick full body is aided by hop and alcohol dryness. 7/4/7/3/14/3.5

From notes. Black/dark brown, small off white head. Roast, smoke, chocolate, old wood, dried dark fruits, subtle oxidation. Tastes a little over the hill, but still very nice. Medium body, smooth, a bit thinned by age. Would have loved to try a fresh bottle.
