Commercial Description:

English: Brøckhouse Stout is inspired by the Russian Imperial Stouts. It is brewed with generous amounts of pale ale -, munich-, caramel- and chocolate malt, along with roasted barley, crushed oats and dark syrup. The hops added are: Columbus, Galena og Challenger. The combination of malts, hops and alcohol gives a forceful aroma combining wine, bitter chocolate and dark caramel, a pitch dark colour and a dark, full head. Best served at 10 – 12°C.

Bottle@Home. Chocolate, cola, vanilla, licorice, actually lots of different aroma’s. Black color, light brown head, very nice lace. Sweet, bitter, roasted, coffee, licorice, hint of honey. Soft and warming. Very flavourful, nice balance, good complexity.

2007 bottle. Hot boozy nose, vodka heavy chocolate syrup and chocolate liqueur. Creamy and rich up front, then sharp and pasty and drying over the middle. Weird, pasty, a little state and oxidized but comes across as a decadent and enjoyable chocolate dessert beer,

(Bottled) Very dark reddish brown with a medium, beige, partly lasting and lacy head. Very malty, slightly sweet and salty aroma with dried fruitiness. Lightly roasty, very malty flavor with hints of burnedness and some sweet toffee. Sweetness is somewhat emphasized when approaching the room temp. Still hides the alcohol completely without being too sweet. Medium to full body with slightly foamy, but pretty low carbonation. A balanced, smooth and pleasant Imperial Stout.

0.5 l bottle. Black color with creamy tan head. Sweet aroma with coffee, chocolate, toffee, raisins, cola and licorice. Rich roasty coffeish and chocolatey flavor with raisins, licorice and hints of cola. Sweet but has enough roastiness and bitterness for a good balance. Chewy mouthfeel. Very tasty, could be even better with softer carbonation.
