BelgiskOlklub (273), Viby J, Denmark Apr 27, 2008 Bottle. Large creamy, white, lasting head with good lacing. Dark red/brown body. Heavy malt aroma of bread, caramel and cereal. Light hop aroma. Heavy spiced of vegetable and cooked cabbage. Medium body, nice creamy texture and a lively carbonation. The flavor has a long duration, is moderate/heavy sweet and light bitter. The beer is well spiced - too much in the long run.

Spices in the nose: clove, caraway, raisin, star anise plus some sweet toffee. Clear brown with a thin white cover. The flavour is loaded with spices: nutty caraway, anise. Also, a little toffee and biscuity malt. Quite sweet and not balanced enough by bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation, sweet finish. Rune (2038), Tromsø, Norway Oct 1, 2008 220ml taster, draught. Dark mahogany body. Missing head. Vague aroma of spiced fruits. Juniper mixed with candy sugar coming through, followed by a taste of lemony bitterness. Quite well balanced in flavour. Medium palate (Lord Nelson, Copenhagen 11.09.2008). Pinball (996), Allerød, Denmark Sep 27, 2008 aroma: raisins, alc. sugar, quite stingy.
dark brown, thick light brown head,
flavor is VERY spicy, under that i get what reminds me of a belgian dubbel (yea’ i make weird associations). spices dominate, below i get dark fruits.. This one is tasty, but FAR from as delicious and balanced as the better belgian brews, which also sometimes has some spices etc. ekstedt (2086), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 14, 2008 Draught at EBF 2008. Clear copper, medium beige head. Sticky spicy aroma with nutmed and coriander, quite flat. Medium bodied and smooth mouthlee.
