COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Brewed as an Alt Bier this beer has its historical roots in the Rhine valley, Germany. The colour is copper; the taste filled with notes of caramel and almonds is soft and round with a moderate bitterness. Brøckhouse Høstbryg (Harvest Brew) goes well with grilled meats and heavy vegetables. Best served at 8-10 degrees celsius.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Sugary and cocoaish aroma. Some fruity notes. Flavour is light spiced, and light herbal. Full of brown sugar and caramel. Some fruitnotes notable. Medium bodied: Ends on a sweet and caramelly note with a light bitterness laying behind.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Fruits and toffee in the aroma. Sweet fruity flavour with a touch of acidity. Not really what I expect from an Altbier.

Lovely Salvator-like look with great, lasting head. Malts, caramel, fall hay. Well-made like most Brøckhouse beers, but doesn’t linger in the memory.

True to the style and a nice beer. Deep amber colour with a fine head. Very malty (caramel and hints of raisin) ending in a medium bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2007 Bottle. Pours clear red amber with firm creamy off white head. Not too many bubbles. Aroma is sweet with caramel. Taste is initially sweet with fruity character - then turns instantly into something quite bitter.

Botlle. Brown with fine head. Malty, liqourice, juicy and pleasent hops, slightly herbal. Nice one from Brøckhouse.

50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Reddish brown colour with a nice creamy head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Very tasty flavour of malt, caramel and ends up with a hoppy and bitter/dry finish.

Bottle. Creamy off-white excellent fully lasting head. Golden amber colour. Powerfull hoppy aroma. Very citrus and caramellic. OK flavor, but a little thin finish. Nice oily palate. I really like this beer.

Bottle. Good head. Reddish brown color. Nice balance between malt and bitterness, with the former dominating the latter though. A really tasty beer.

Bottle. High and good looking creamy off-white head. Clear red body. Weak aroma of caramel. Flavor of butter caramel and hops bitterness, though this is moderate.
