UPDATED: AUG 24, 2007 Red/Amber with a lasting creamy head and some lacing. Malty aroma of the deep, bready municher kind, with some fruity notes and a hint of hops. Malty sweet flavour, little fruityness, with some bitterness (2006: but with some sharp off-taste). Very full mouthfeel. I miss the hops of the best alt-biers, on the other hand, it’s got Octoberfest maltiness that works just fine with the harvest name.

Amber colour with a creamy head. Not much aroma. Malty aroma with faint notes of hops. Mallty sweet flavour with underlying notes of burned malts.

Bottle. Amber colour with a nice creamy mostly lasting head. Aroma and taste of malts, fruits and some spices. Nice beer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber brown with a lasting brown head. Funny aroma; hoppy but with some floral/herbal/perfumy notes that reminded me of some kind of ointment. – Interesting. Flavour is a complex blend of malty, hoppy, fruity and alcohol notes. Bitter and malty finish. 28-08-06.

Amber colour, off-white diminishing head. Malty aroma with faint notes of hops. Mallty sweet flavour with underlying notes of burned malts. Overall very drinkable unidimensional brew.

Amber, clear beer. Off-white head, mainly not lasting, fine lacing. Not much aroma, perhaps malt. Has a good flavor, starting with something sharp and metallic, Laqurice I think.

Bottle. Coppery colour with off-white head, quickly disappearing. Nose medium intensity with notes of malts and rye but not very dominant.
Taste sweet with notes of malt and caramel. Finish with a little bitterness. A bit too carbonated.
I prefer their old ale to this one, which should be in the same style.

0.5 l bottle: Pours with a copper colour and a decent off-white and mostly lasting head. The nose is malty with a mild tone of hops. It has a very balanced, caramel sweet body with a good combination of malt and hops. It’s medium bodied. Finishes with a mild bitterness. Overall it’s a very drinkable and smooth session beer. Once again a good brew from Brøckhouse.
