Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 25, 2002 Unfilteret and very yellow in color - it has a nice head when poured, but it disapears quickly. It has a very fruity aroma. The flavor is very light, very fruity but with a hop bitterness that lingers. It has a very good balance between the malt sweetness and the hop bitterness. It’s a very drinkable beer - a great summer beer - I prefer it over Hoeggaarden Wit. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 14, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Clasically pale and hazy with a huge, bubbly head. Very Belgian style with notes and coriander and orange peel and a rather marked bitterness. Refined - but I remember this being better when I had it on tap. 100903 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 9, 2002 Yellow, very hazy appearance. Light, estery bubblegum aroma. Light bodied but flavourful with wheat, vanilla and banana in the palate. The esteryness makes it Almost lean more towards a German style hefeweizen the a Belgian style witbier. Refreshing. yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 27, 2008 50 cL bottle, at Den årlige ølsmagning i Valhal. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a little white lacing head. Sweet caramel malt and solid banana aroma. Flavour is banana and bubblegum, quite dominant. Finish is a persisting bubblegum note. I just find it hard to appreciate wheat beers. joergen (6947), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 30, 2004 Tried this 2 times, first time with notes of infection, second time without infection.
Hazy amber colour with a bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, spices and yeast. Acidic taste with lots of citrus, spices and bitterness.
Not bad, but I prefer Witbiers with less bitterness.
