COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Brøckhouse Hvede is brewed according to Belgian traditions. It is brewed on half pilsner malt and half wheat malt. Especially the wheat malt gives the beer a slightly acidic and fruity flavour. Saaz hops have been added to the wheat beer along with coriander and orange peels. Thus a distinct fragrance and a fresh, lush taste is achieved. The yeast has been imported from Weihenstephan adding to the spicy flavour of the beer. Brøckhouse Hvede has a high content of carbon dioxide and should be served icecold. It is an ideal fragrant refreshment on a hot spring day.

Yellow, unclear beer. Off white lasting creamy head. Good carbonation. Yeastfull nose with citrus (sevilla oranges) and apples too (?). The flavour is fresh with more yeast, citrus and clear notes of coriander and pepper (seszhuan). Lots of fruit. Creamy palate. Overall magnificent wit beer.

Cloudy blond color. Nice aroma of citrus fruits, wonderful blend of citrus fruits, some malt, spices. Maltier than others, maybe one of the most complex white beers I had. Brøckhouse will always surprise me!

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2003 Draught: Hazy yellow coloured. Not much head. Has a spicy, citrusy and yeasty aroma, all the things I like in a good witt. Flavour is even better. Spices, malt, sweets, wheat, citrus and fruit mingel very well in this mighty brew. Has a nice fruity aftertaste with a touch of bitterness. Me like.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2006 Great white beer. Nice appearance and smelll, aroma of spices, coriander and citrus. Very nice taste in the belgian style with coriander and citrus. Very good sweetnes in the taste. Maybe the best white beer I have tasted. Reminds me a lot of Hoegarden but maybe a little bit better.

Bottle 0.5 l. Bought Irma Hilleroed. Onclear (unfiltered) yellow color with medium white head. Plenty of aromas - sweet, fuity (abricots), hobs. Taste is elegant, sweet, wheat and fruits. Soft carbonation. Mouthfeel light as a Witbier sholud be. May 4th is a perfect day for this beer - it brings light (Danish tradition with candlelight in the windows to celebrate the end of World War II).

[Sampled in 2003.] This was the first wit/weiss I liked after some attempts. Finally it succeded and after this I forever love this brew. True belgo in its style all the way and then you know it, maybe some more yeast and hops.

Absolutely clear dark golden yellow until the last drops, where some great particles spread throughout the beer. Thin but creamy white head. Very fruity aroma - oranges, banana, apples. Nice mouthfeel - lives on your tongue. Sweet flavours with wheat, oranges and some final peppery tones.

Pours a yellow with a huge head. Has a thirst driving aroma of oranges, mandarin, pineapple and wheat. The flavours follow the same line with some coriander and a bit more bitterness in a wit than usual.Yummi!

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2004 Tap at Ølfestilval 2002 A truly excellent member of the style! All the characteristics you love about a wit with a fruty sweet taste in a well-balanced body.

Bottle summer 2004 Spicy, a bit vinegary aroma. Cloudy yellow, creamy head. Spice (coriander), lemon-peel, slight yeast. Medium bready body, full for a wit. Moderately good wit.
