LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 25, 2005 No way near the "real" Brøckhouse julebryg but nonetheless very nice. Very malty (chocolate) and fruity/spicy (plums/cherries and juniper berries). The high carboration is nice at a Danish Christmas table since it "cleans" the palate. I would prefer a higher ABV and a thicker mouthfeel though. dornoy (660), Lyngby, Denmark Nov 20, 2005 This beer was apparently brewed especially for the ISO chain of department stores in Denmark. I didn’t think much of it (anti-supermarked prejudice) until I actually opened the bottle ! It is a very nice Christmas Ale! Huge head and a dark ruby body, and it’s complete with roasted taste, fruity and the right amount of hop. Altogether very well-balanced and a pleasure to drink. Jeppe (2637), Ølbutikken, Denmark Oct 31, 2005 Fine tan head, dark brownred body. Dominating berry aroma, is it cherry? Creamy notes - like berry porridge with cream. Malt and berries in the flavor as well. Sweet with a somewhat rancid finish. Not bad at all, but a bit thin for a christmas brew. ThomasE (5075), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 9, 2005 Deep reddish beer with a dense, but fast disappearing tan head. Malty aroma with a spicy almost medicine like touch and a berry fruityness. Faintly roasted malty flavor with notes of toffee and fruit. Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 20, 2005 Bottle. Ruby colour with a huge tan head. Sweet caramel, Roasted, fruity aroma and taste. Medium body and a sweet finish.
