Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 21, 2007 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is very sweet with a strong spicy presence, citrus, coriander, cloves, and a bit of cinnamon. The flavor is quite sweet with a strong spicy note as well as a good deal of fruits, and with the alcohol felt slightly on the tongue, leading to a dry spicy end. The spices includes coriander and cloves, and the fruitiness is mainly citrusy. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 5, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear, dark amber with a rather handsome and tall, off-white head with good retention. Very distinct aromas of fruit and yeast. Full-bodied with notes of caramel malt, yeast and alcohol - and perhaps some diacetyl. Very typical Belgian - but not overly refined. The yeasty esters are a bit too dominant for my liking. 030306 yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 21, 2008 Updated: Mar 18, 200850 cL bottle and tap, 7.5% 2008. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Very banana fruity and spiced aroma. Medium to full bodied. Caramel malt sweet flavour, again with a solid fruit note and a subdued Belgian yeast spice note. Ends with a lingering spice and fruit flavour. Solid warmth provide from the alcohol. Distinctly a weizen bock in my book - yet with a somewhat flavoured by a Belgian yeast strain. 6-3-6-12=3.0<br />
