Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate notes, light to moderate meat, smoke - chimney soot notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chimney soot and smoke. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100316]

50cl bottle @ Fakta. Pours dark and deep amber with a handsome large and creamy white head and lacings. Nose is sweet and inviting. Chocolate, nuts and a bit of vanilla and roasted malts. Smooth and full bodied. Taste is vaguely roasted with notes of caramel , chocolate and mild spices. A very tasty and well balanced brew.

Bottle, 5.7%. Roasted, dusty, perhaps even papery aroma. Clear very dark brown colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted, a little vinous, sourish graininess. Not bad. Long roast barley bitterness in the aftertaste.
