Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 14, 2003 This beer has a beutiful red color and a fantastic head - just wait for it to be poured. The aroma is very sweet with notes of rowanberries. The flavor is fine with notes of berries and some sharpness though rounded. It is a little watery in the middle but turning nicely bitter in the end. It is not as dark as it is supposed to be according to the style. Another OK beer from Brøckhouse - but far from as good as IPA and Stout. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 20, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Reddish brown with some impurities and a huge, impressive, stable head. Distinct, full malty body and a marked bitterness with a twist of acidity. A beer showing both character and craftsmanship. 120504 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden May 12, 2003 Sampled draught at the Danish Beer Festival.
Smooth caramel malt aroma. Flavour is medium dry to light sweet with a mild caramel malt and a solid bitterness. Finish is mild caramel and with medium bitterness. Slight trace of spice. joergen (6947), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 15, 2004 Red colour with a fine white head. Aroma of malt. The taste is malty, with notes of fruits, which ends up in a bitter aftertaste.
Easy drinkable, but quite ordinary and boring beer
