3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black with a (small) brownish head. Fine roasted nose with plenty of chocolate and coffee. Flavour is sweet and roasted balanced by a somewhat acidic bitterness. Decently creamy mouthfeel. All in all a fine stout!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.5 L bottle. Yet black and viscous looking with a light brown head that lasted only briefly. Weak aroma of smoke. Flavour was a strange composite of charcoal and smoke and very sour, full and complex but not pleasant in my opinion. Something gone wrong during fermentation in the bottle???

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50 cl bottle w/ swing-top cap, served in tall Menabrea glass.
Pours a completely opaque black. Nice, brown head. Impressively well-balanced taste dominated by coffee and dark chocolate, and accented by a slight, delicate sweetness that complements the moderate bitterness nicely.
One of the best stouts I've had, and yet another fine Brøckhouse product.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
(on bottle) Pitch black, no light trough the edges of the beer; that, I was told, is the diffenition of a Stout.
I prefer the taste as a guide; I´ll get back on that.
This smells alot of chocolate and a bit sweets(caramel) in there too. First two sips are plesant, but my palate are not into this brew. A sour/metalic feeling clings to it and ruins the rest of the 70 cl. The aftertaste and there´s a watery feeling in my mouth. This is the aftertaste of a porter, not a stout; wich to me, is fuller and more round. Looking forward to the nitro-version on bottle!!

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Absense of light beneath a full, inch-thick tan head. An elegant, roasted coffee aroma with layers of toasted bread and succulently sweet molasses. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel and the body is just right--neither too thin nor too thick. Toasted bread sops cocoa-infused espresso and highlights of sweet molasses. Roasted, sweet and lightly earthy. Not over the top at all, just elegant and smooth. Utterly delightful. Many thanks Jeppe!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 5, 2008 Dark browm stout with a toffee coloured weak head. OK carbonation. Flavour with some chocolate (and coffee? or at least something roasted) balanced by liquorice. A bit hops. Traces of malt. A creamy palate. Overall a very well balanced, medium complex and dry stout.
An old bottle (best before 121105) tasted on 050408 was slightly acidious but still had lots of chocolate OI = 14...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown color; dark creamy head. Nice aroma: coffee, roasted malts, light paperboard. Quite dry mouthfeel; roasted malt; quite short. Thanks Jens (Ungstrup) for this bottle.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black (thick looking!) colour with small head. Sweet, milk, little soapy, liqourice, thick. Quite a mouthfull considering only 5,5%ABV.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
I don't like it! The palate is way to thin for a stout. The aroma and flavor is an odd mix of smoke and chocolate.
