COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: A strong barley wine, round and soft, comparable to brandy. Made solely from malt and hops it has a powerful and intense taste. Brøckhouse Vintage has been stored for at least one year and will keep for at least another 10 years. The long storage process adds to the full-bodied character and rounds off the alcohol. Can be served as an aperitif or accompanying a cup of coffee like brandy. Best served at 8-10 degrees celsius.

Hazy dark brown beer. Soft palate. This 2004 vintage is holding up well. Malt doesn’t taste aged. Slightly bitter toffee caramel. Finishes with a little aniseed alcohol and a touch of heat. Nice enough but I could not drink much.

(50cl fliptop bottle 2006 vintage thanks to blutt59) clearish amber with a tan lasting bubbled head. Nose of vanilla, barrel, wet wood, bourbon. Taste of bourbon, alcohol, vanilla, butterscotch, and plastic. Decent linger with a dry finish.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. 2006 vintage. The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is caramel malt, toffee and brown sugar. The flavor is very sweet and reminiscent of circus peanuts. I also get some caramel and toffee malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
