3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, USA - APR 29, 2010
Big thanks to madsburg for shipping me this ’06 vintage as a bonus beer! Yes! Pours clear amber with lasting light tan head. The aroma is sweet malts and caramel and then rolling into prunes, plums, smooth ripe cherries and raisins. The taste is much the same with plums, raisins and prunes followed by sweet malts and a modest level of caramel candy goodness. It ends a bit overly sweet. Yum.

19th July 2009 Hazy dark brown beer. Soft palate. This 2004 vintage is holding up well. Malt doesn’t taste aged. Slightly bitter toffee caramel. Finishes with a little aniseed alcohol and a touch of heat. Nice enough but I could not drink much.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. 2006 vintage.
The beer pours an amber color with a white head. The aroma is caramel malt, toffee and brown sugar. The flavor is very sweet and reminiscent of circus peanuts. I also get some caramel and toffee malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
