| A Fruit Beer formerly brewed by Brockway Chophouse Palatine, Illinois USA
| |
frankenkitty (1798), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 30, 2006 A creamy white head lasts longer than others have today and laces the glass in a sheet. Body is a slight-hazed golden/amber. Aroma exudes Maraschino extract with light, light hopping beneath. Very creamy mouth with strong cherry flavoring that fades to dishwater and ABV. Friendly enough and on-par with brewpub fruit beers, just don’t get one if you’re hoping to taste "beer". On tap at Brockway Chophouse, Palatine, IL 60067 Cornfield (4344), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 25, 2006 I’m rating this higher than I probably should because I love the smell of Maraschino cherries, and that’s what the aroma of this golden, creamy headed ale is. Beyond that, it returns to being an American Wheat, only with fruity cherries added to the flavor mix. It finished on a pip-like, bitter note. Where’d the cherries go?
