thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 2, 2007 This draft brew from the brew pub poured a medium sized head of frothy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated light orange colored body and a good lacing. The weak aroma was malty. The semi-flat mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of malt hops and dough. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. Ughsmash (3071), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Apr 2, 2007 On tap at Brockway. Poured a clear lighter golden with a sticky white cap and lacing. Aroma was soft and rather pleasant.. sweet caramel with some floral notes... perhaps a pinch of honey. Soft caramel and honey flavor base with moderate floral and spicy bitterness.. oh-so-slightly toasted.. medium-high pine and floral bitterness through the finish. Just about medium-bodied.. nice consistent bitterness throughout.. felt good. frankenkitty (1797), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Oct 30, 2006 Served a bright, deep golden under white. MIld aroma: pale malt and mild lagering yeasts next to nothingness. Hallertau presence is surprisingly fat, contributing a smooth, constant bitterness to the flavor. The beer has an identity crisis as mentioned, but I could certainly make this a go-to Pils. I probably would’ve scored it higher had it been called something else. The body is a bright gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is a sweet grainy malt with a light floral/herbal hopping. Medium bodied, the flavor echoes the aroma, finishing on a crisp, bitter note. Okay, but I question the style. Brockway Chophouse, Palatine, IL
