pint bottle shared with ajax25g, thanks for bringing this gem back from London.

bottle at home ... well what was left after 90% gushed .. Murky brown sludge ...huge sediment like oats or powered hops coats the whole glass ... deep chocolate coffee roast ... mellow fruity hop nose ... little thinner than id like ... soft roast ... huge huge hop ... pine and grapefruit ... quite oily ... huge spicy hop ... in fact there actually too much hop in the end. possible as there so much in the guts of the beer
Just for amusement im gonna rate what i caught in my dirty frying pan (just cooked Bacon, dates and asparagus) ... deep brown ... thin oily lacing :-) ... deep malt roast ... huge pine hop nose... huge bacon salty front ... zezty pine ... juicy fruits ... body is better without all the much ... but the balance is gone ... the bacon fat and saltyness doesnt work every with stella for breakfast.

Golden, hazy, white foam
Nose is floral, with loads of citrus, orangepeel.
Taste is pretty mellow, consiering the nose, leaving a nicely balanced ipa. Caramel tones blend nicely with the bitterness. Finish is hints of orange and caramel notes. Almost a bit low on bitterness.
Light body and not too much carb.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Black with big big tan brown bubbly head. Nose is very very hoppy. Pine, grapefruit, menthol and some coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is hoppy too with pine, grapefruit, lots of acidity and dark bitter chocolate and coffee. Hop is a little overpowering for me but it’s still a goodie.

Bottle thanks to Evin. It pours black, with a massive beige head. The nose is treacle, wood, aniseed, roasted malt and tar. The taste is wood, resin, rasping bitterness, burnt malt, tar, some underlying caramel, liquorice and roasted malt, with a massive bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Maybe too much bitterness for the body, but still good.

Bottle at Kernel Brewery, Bermondsey, London, 07.01.12 Pours black with a light beige head. This is bitter but also really quite smooth with it, coffee and fruitiness combine to great effect, its got some roastiness but its still quite bitter. Very good but not the best from Kernel today.
