3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask (William IV, RBESG2011 Saturday)
Quite stodgy bitter aroma. Fuller in the mouth, cleaner and more distinct nutty and husky components. Woody finish, pretty solid. Nicely dry and very well attenuated. A touch of mushroom too just once or twice. but good nonetheless.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask, half-pint at the King William IV brewpub. Unclear brown coloured body. Patchy surface. Spotty lacing. Mild aroma of herbal hops and caramel malts. Roasted malty flavour with quite a strong hoppy support. Fine bitter, malt-fruity aftertaste. Thin to medium bodied. Nice bitter partner to the mushroom pie (London, 24.11.2012).
