Bottle. Very dark brown, hazy, average to large and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate to full malty and lightly sweetish aroma, roasted malt with some tropical fruitiness, light caramel, roasted malt - faint burnt malt, light tropical fruitiness, piney - some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and dryish flavor, faint caramel, roasted malt - light burnt malt, faint tropical fruitiness, piney - light grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average to long, malty and dry, lots of roasted malt - light burnt malt, lots of piney hoppyness - light grapefruit hoppyness. Well hopped and roasted BIPA - bit thin though. Quite nice but not top notch.

Tap at William IV. Pours a dark coca cola colour with a pale tan head. Aroma is pine, cannabis with an earthy funkiness. Medium body, medium carbonation. There's pine, toffee, grapefruit, coffee, pineapple, funky fusty stuff. Yep, nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big sucker-punch of sherbet, grapefruit, lemon rind and pine. Then cream and something milder rounding out the edges, fading through charcoal porter vibes to a lasting ipa bitterness. Some dirty muddy note on there too. Tastes very strong, I wouldn’t recommend drinking a full pint of this. Pretty damn awesome.

Keg @ Hanging Bat [150713]
Dark brown, hazy, bubbly white head that dissipates
Nose of gtapefruit, soft floral undertones, some pine, mellow dark caramel malts underneath, soft dark malts, good citrus fruity hops
Taste of bitter citrus hops, grapefruit pith, sharp citrus, dark caramel malts background, plenty of hops in this
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, bitter fruity tangy zesty grapefruit finish with soft dark roast malt finish, bitter bit dry slightly salty linger. Palate is a little rough
Overall - Decent BIPA, perhaps the palate just needs to be smoother

Lovely black IPA. Pours dark brown, small tan frothy head. A little bitter, but tastes great. Enjoying Brodies beers, very good quality.
