3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Itís a semi-clear, dark orange-golden beer with a dense, off-white to beige head of finger-thick size. The aroma has a meaty touch, but oranges and green pine cones are pulling the heaviest load. Itís bitter on the palate, with orange peel and pine cones, as well as maltyness in the back. Full-bodied and not too sweet, finishing mostly bitter. A tasteful and pleasant IPA well worth a revisit. 121130

Keg at The Old Coffee Shop. Pours a murky orange/brown with a thin off-white head. Nice aroma. Smoky, sweet, overripe fruits, dark fruit, toffee. Medium to light body, a touch powdery, medium carbonation. It's smoky, toffee, a touch of banana, nice funky overripe tropical fruit, darker fruits, dark sugar and a pleasant earthiness next to a warming hit of booze with a touch of citrus at the end. Fairly mild bitterness. Tasty.

Big red from James. Up front malts that are truly hypnotic. Lovely balanced malt and hop taste. Deep and satisfying. Good dry finish. Hides alcohol well.

Bottle from King William IV. Reddish orange/golden body with a moderate sized tan head. Nice aroma of citric fruit and caramel malt. Flavour has smooth malt, some caramel, fresh citric fruit and decent bitterness. Fine body with a good and bitter aftertaste. Well-made and really refreshing. Another fine beer from Brodies.

Obscured dark amber with reddish hues and a thin off white head.
Nose is hops, pine, sugars, tropical fruit notes.
Taste is a big hop hit, caramel, pine, grapefruit, a little sugar, grass.
Medium bodied, a little over spritzy in the carbonation, bitter dry in the finish.
Lovely stuff !

On tap. Pours a hazy dark amber with a creamy yellowish/beige head. Very, very fresh citrusy hops in the nose atop some burned caramel. Medium-bodied, fairly sweet caramel, some biscuit accents and then again plenty of good and citrusy hops. An excellent hopped up Amber Ale. 111112
