Scopey (7094) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 24, 2013
Keg at the Grove Inn, Hudds. It pours hazy deep brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is toast, fresh citrus, potpourri, earth and play dough. The taste is toast, earth, moderate bitterness, zesty citrus, cocoa, wood and varnish with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A flavoursome hoppy porter.

Draft at Brewdog Brum. Yeah, pretty good, pretty tasty. Quite fizzier than some Porters. Has a bit of a weird medicinal, herby taste which I can’t place.

imdownthepub (10488) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2012
Cask conditioned at The King William IV, Leyton, London. Brown with thin white head. For the ABV this was a little thinnish on the palate, there was a bready, yeasty note then a dried crisp English hop character. Not bad.

On tap at the Brewpub. Just about clear - dark brown beer. Small pale tan head. Mild malts, a little chocolate - somewhat wishy washy. Trace of lacto. There is something else I can’t put my finger on - almost skunky. Finishes smooth and semi dry with a trace of fruity hops. Okay but lack something to bring it together. My least favourite Brodies in a while.

Very robust head, darkbrown body. The taste is a bit of chocolate and a bit more sour-sweet. Not my one, I dont like the sour taste in this beer. 11/7/7/7/-/7
