No head; flamingo to pale cyclamen red, clear beer, no carbonation visible. Liquorice, toasted waffles; fruit only as a faint aroma, or fruitdrink as Hero. Sweetish, bit dull, until the finish where fruitacids finally appear. Aromacomponents, including retronasal are terribly lacking. Very light, obviously. MF doesnít give any carbonation either. I hoped for far better, seen the name.

bright red, small head. Cherry aroma is great. clean, fruity, very fresh aroma with a bit of wheat. Oh, this is nice. more than just sour, you get a straight up cherry beer, good mat backbone to balance things out. really enjoyable.

Draught @ Cock Tavern, 315 Mare Street, Hackney, Greater London, England E8 1EJ.

Unclear - hazy matt red colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, butter, cherry, tart cherry, buttermilk (kærnemælk) - buttermilk dessert (koldskål). Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic with a average duration, sour cherry, butter, buttermilk (kærnemælk). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121206]

Cask @ at Old Coffee House, no head, hazy cherry red colour, vinous aroma with some vinegar and berries in the back, dominant flavour of sour cherries, quite sour but not too piercing. Nice and easy to sip.

Keg in Old Coffee House. Murky yellowy red, medium white foamy head. Nose is minerally sour, cherry, acidic. Taste is lemon sour citrous with a bit of syrupy cherry, sour raspberry. Lemon citrous dominates. On the finish itís sour, bit of citric acid prickle and lemon sucking sour. Think it needs a bit more cherry fruit to work.

Tap at the Old Coffee House, thanks to Jan for the pour, 18/01/13. Obscured crimson with a thin off white head that clears to a light film. Nose is sour cherry but very light in this respect, hint of piss, musty dank tones. Taste comprises lightly soured cherry, light sugars, berry fruit. Medium bodied with light carbonation, mildly tarte in the finish. Ok and drinkable but not sour enough!

On tap at Brewdog Shoreditch. It pours a clear light ruby colour with virtually no head and only a thin ring of pinkish bubbles on the side of the glass. Aroma is extremely vinegarish, almost in Rodenbach style but in a bad way. Too harsh at the beginning. As the base beer, though, this ones opens up after some time and becomes more fruity and pleasant in the nose as well. Taste is a bit bland with good acidity, not overpowering as the base beer, and some red berry notes. But no depth of flavors in this one. Body is thin with good carbonation. Overall, decent but lacks balance and complexity.

(Draught at King William IV, Leyton, London, 22 Nov 2012) Hazy red colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, sour nose with notes of cherries, red fruit and a fairly fresh acidity. Fruity, tart taste with cherries, red fruit and a dry, fresh acidity in the finish. Light body, quite dry and tart. Low bitterness. A bit weird, but quite drinkable and refreshing. Nice one.

Keg at Old Coffee House. Kriek like appearance, small bubbly white pink head. Aroma sour cherry with slight stink, bit cakey, marzipan. Later on starts to smell of cider. Taste is nice, sour cherry, not quite belgian sourness, but pretty good. Maybe quite nectar like. Decent spritzy texture. Further down, bit lemon, maybe loses its way a little. Nice try, but not really there.

On tap. Pours a beautiful - if hazy - warm red with a tiny pinkish head. Fairly discreet fruit aroma, strangely indefinable with no particular distinctive cherry character, a very subdued tartness. Light body, the cherries get more pronounced now and so does the tartness - actually this gets distinctly sour, bordering astringent. This isnít as fresh and quaffable as the peach version. 111112
