Tap at the Old Coffee House, thanks to Jan for the pour, 18/01/13.
Obscured crimson with a thin off white head that clears to a light film.
Nose is sour cherry but very light in this respect, hint of piss, musty dank tones.
Taste comprises lightly soured cherry, light sugars, berry fruit.
Medium bodied with light carbonation, mildly tarte in the finish.
Ok and drinkable but not sour enough!

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2012 Keg at the Evening Star Brighton. It pours cloudy red with a medium pink-white head. The nose is creamy, fresh cherry, lactic, wet leaf and butter. The taste is dark cherry, lip-smacking sourness, lactic acid, cherry pip and red berry yoghurt with a long, sour finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and high level of sourness. The diacetyl on the nose is off-putting, however the taste makes up for it.

(Draught at King William IV, Leyton, London, 22 Nov 2012) Hazy red colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, sour nose with notes of cherries, red fruit and a fairly fresh acidity. Fruity, tart taste with cherries, red fruit and a dry, fresh acidity in the finish. Light body, quite dry and tart. Low bitterness. A bit weird, but quite drinkable and refreshing. Nice one.

Keg @ The Cock Tavern. The pour’s medium hazy red with a tiny white head. The nose is sharp acetic lemon juice, bright sugar, soft fruit and malevolent buggy aromas. The taste is very tart, sour cherry and lemon rind. Hints of sweet sugar and marshmallow. Pissy wheat tang on the finish. Light body, refreshing. Overall, nice, if basic.

Slightly above 1/3 of a pint draft @ Brewdog as part of a sampler. Very bright lovely cherry red, only some fungus looking slits for head. Nose is lightly acidic sour, almost medicinal sourness, red chewy candy, some sewage water, lacto and light gummy beers. Taste is a light cherry sourness mixed with some lemon, light acidity mixed sewage water, light lactic leading up to a bitter finish, floral, herbal, candy. Lighter carb. slightly sticky. Okay but not exactly what it should be.

3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at brewdog. Nice pinkish red with small white head. Aroma is quite rank, like cheesey feet, off fruit juice, bad milk. Taste is much better, pleasant cherry and light funk. Very tart with a yeasty finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at Old Coffee House. Kriek like appearance, small bubbly white pink head. Aroma sour cherry with slight stink, bit cakey, marzipan. Later on starts to smell of cider. Taste is nice, sour cherry, not quite belgian sourness, but pretty good. Maybe quite nectar like. Decent spritzy texture. Further down, bit lemon, maybe loses its way a little. Nice try, but not really there.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Brewdog Shoreditch. It pours a clear light ruby colour with virtually no head and only a thin ring of pinkish bubbles on the side of the glass. Aroma is extremely vinegarish, almost in Rodenbach style but in a bad way. Too harsh at the beginning. As the base beer, though, this ones opens up after some time and becomes more fruity and pleasant in the nose as well. Taste is a bit bland with good acidity, not overpowering as the base beer, and some red berry notes. But no depth of flavors in this one. Body is thin with good carbonation. Overall, decent but lacks balance and complexity.
