Drank this one at the Alvinne Craft Beer festival 2015. Buttery, creamy and slightly fruity. A bit off.

Keg at brewdog Bristol (4%) lactic custard and cherry drops on the nose. Hazy scarlet with white lacing. Tart in the mouth, cider vinegar, cherry stones, long sharp finish. More lacto.

On tap at Brewdog Shoreditch. It pours a clear light ruby colour with virtually no head and only a thin ring of pinkish bubbles on the side of the glass. Aroma is extremely vinegarish, almost in Rodenbach style but in a bad way. Too harsh at the beginning. As the base beer, though, this ones opens up after some time and becomes more fruity and pleasant in the nose as well. Taste is a bit bland with good acidity, not overpowering as the base beer, and some red berry notes. But no depth of flavors in this one. Body is thin with good carbonation. Overall, decent but lacks balance and complexity.

bright red, small head. Cherry aroma is great. clean, fruity, very fresh aroma with a bit of wheat. Oh, this is nice. more than just sour, you get a straight up cherry beer, good mat backbone to balance things out. really enjoyable.

Tap at brewdog. Nice pinkish red with small white head. Aroma is quite rank, like cheesey feet, off fruit juice, bad milk. Taste is much better, pleasant cherry and light funk. Very tart with a yeasty finish.

Keg at Old Coffee House. Kriek like appearance, small bubbly white pink head. Aroma sour cherry with slight stink, bit cakey, marzipan. Later on starts to smell of cider. Taste is nice, sour cherry, not quite belgian sourness, but pretty good. Maybe quite nectar like. Decent spritzy texture. Further down, bit lemon, maybe loses its way a little. Nice try, but not really there.

Keg in Old Coffee House. Murky yellowy red, medium white foamy head. Nose is minerally sour, cherry, acidic. Taste is lemon sour citrous with a bit of syrupy cherry, sour raspberry. Lemon citrous dominates. On the finish it’s sour, bit of citric acid prickle and lemon sucking sour. Think it needs a bit more cherry fruit to work.

Cask @ at Old Coffee House, no head, hazy cherry red colour, vinous aroma with some vinegar and berries in the back, dominant flavour of sour cherries, quite sour but not too piercing. Nice and easy to sip.

Red with no head. Smells of cherries and yoghurt. Drikkecultura. Tastes of sour cherries with a lactic soft mouthfeel. Sour finish.
