Bottle. Black with a small good lacing beige head. Smells like moldy coffee grounds with some light bourbon notes beneath. Aroma follows with some roasted malt, lactose, a little licorice and wood. Taste is medium sweet with some slowly growing roasted bitterness. Medium body, light fat, letmælk texture, near flat carbonation. The bourbon is very discreet and the balance feels right, but could do with just a little more body.

Dark brown/black with no head. The aroma is sweet vanilla and spirit like. The flavour is chocolate, vanilla, liquorice, wood and some roast. The beer is quite thin but is so smooth and drinks well below 9% abv. A bit of body short of superb.
